I remembered when I put pen to paper and I told God, I want a husband and a best friend. You searched for me a year after my request and you found me. I never thought the day would come that I would walk down the isle to a man that loves and respects me to pieces, and in turn it’s so easy to love him back sincerely. Marriage is not a bed of rose, and it’s not for the faint of heart. But I can say from my heart that once you have Christ in the forefront of your life, and once you both were join together by God. There’s no weapon that will form against you that will prosper. I honor my husband and I respect him, I am his biggest cheerleader and number one fan. We have each other’s back and we fight the devil on our knees. I thank God everyday for my other half. In love and Happily married to my man, can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.

Marriage is a beautiful entity, it’s a relationship where you get the opportunity to watch your partner grow. The opportunity to grow old with someone, to love someone unconditionally. If I were to give the younger version of me advice on marriage it would be to forgive quick, love without conditions, embrace the good bad and the ugly. A lasting Marriage must be built on the foundation of Christ Jesus himself if not you’re setting yourself up for failure. I’m excited that I get to do life with my husband Gregory McDermott 🙌🏾🙌🏾💜💜💜

Marriage is exciting and interesting. You go into it in bliss and so much love that even a blind man can see. You'll have so much fun with your honeymoon phase and moving in together to create your first home. But there's a moment when you have to snap out of the bliss somewhat and face a challenge. It'll be the first that make you realize the power of being a team. You'll also start to pray and seek God differently. No longer seeking Him for your needs but those of your partner. I've heard folks say that they want to figure out how to be a wife. But the reality is that everyone's role as a wife is different. It's designed uniquely by God so that you can and your spouse can live in your purpose independently and your marriage can also serve it's purpose..

We initially got married in November 23,2003. Divorced in May 2014. Remarried August 2021. It’s been a journey. I’m excited about been a newlywed because I feel like we starting where we left off. I didn’t get to see any good examples growing up in marriage. All the women in my family either divorced or suffered in marriage. I wanted to break that cycle and I refused to give up. What I like the most we both never gave up on each other. May the Lord get all the glory.
