Do Not be Afraid of a No

I’m not afraid of hearing a “No”.

I believe that if you have ever received a “no” or a “denial” – know you are not a failure and life is not over. Though you may be disappointed at the time in that moment – you might receive a “Yes” around the corner that is waiting for you.

Recently, I was going home from work and I was waiting in the pouring rain for a scheduled express bus and the bus did not show up. I was tired and disappointed. But, I saw another bus going the same route but I was not at that particular bus stop. However, I stepped out on faith in the pouring rain and extended my hands in SOS mode for that bus to stop (while all the other people at the bus stop was looking at me crazy but I did not mind). And, at that moment, the bus driver signaled for me to go around the corner and he stopped the bus and picked me up. That is a clear illustration of a “yes around the corner” blessing.

At that very moment, I realized that all was not lost. I did not look to my left or my right; I asked and I received. I got on that bus! When you want or need something, you just have to try and believe that you will get what you want. To do this, you must exercise faith (ask – make your request known) and that’s the action you should take. Don’t question how or when God is going to do it for you. Know that God is an on time God and He always got you. He will come through. Remember, His plans for you and I are greater and bigger than we can ask or thing.

So don’t dismayed or give up when you get a “no” or a “denial.” But, be resilient, activate your request and receive your “Yes” blessing.
