The art of serving

According to google serving means to treat or act toward in a specified. Serving is not what one would consider a glamorous job or position. However, I would object to that I see serving as an art an act of art to be exact. There’s nothing more beautiful than giving your time to serve, you may be wondering why and how I see the beauty in this act of art. Well, let me elaborate, in 2017 I gave my life to Christ I decided that I would live for Christ and Christ alone. The best decision I ever made. I remember my first assignment was to help one of my sister in The Lord with an assignment she had. My Pastor asked me to work on a task I stayed up until after 3 am to be sure I completed what I was tasked with. Victory I completed the assignment and ever since that time I have found pleasure in serving My pastors, serving in the ministry God has planted me, and now I get the honor of serving my wonderful husband (that’s a story for another day). Being able to watch an assignment come to completion from start to finish is breathtaking, imagine this you have a dream, and you have a group of people who take this dream and work it now watch that dream come to life. That is indeed is the art of serving. I leave you with a few scriptures next time you think of serving think of these scriptures which will help you embrace the art of serving. “But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.” Matthew 23:11. “I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35
